We offer a variety of batter and filling depositor configurations for most every baking application.
Piston Depositors
Piston depositing is a proven technology for the accurate, intermittent placement of batters and fillings. Using a pneumatically actuated piston/cylinder assembly for each lane of deposit, very high-speed and repeatable depositing is possible at a rate of up to 90 cycles per minute (depending on viscosity, specific gravity and size of deposit). Each of our piston depositors has a proprietary rotary valve for positive, drip-less and sanitary portioning. Fedco offers three models of piston depositors allowing us to cover the entire spectrum of baking.
Fedco APD Depositor Our most flexible depositor, the APD is designed to offer the user the utmost in lane-balancing precision with the addition of motorized adjustment of deposit weight on each piston/cylinder. Adjustment can be done on the fly to assure the most consistent product scaling with the least interruption to the baking process.

Fedco WPD Depositor Essentially the manual version of our popular APD depositor, the WPD offers an economical solution where full automation and recipe storage isnt important to the operation. With the same mechanics and pneumatic controls as the APD, the WPD has manual adjustment of individual piston stroke that must be done when the machine is idle.

Fedco RPD Depositor Targeted at the lower-volume baker, the RPD is our most economical solution for product depositing. It can run in either automatic mode or manually to intermittently deposit product. Individual piston stroke can be mechanically varied off-line and the unit can be mounted in a variety of ways from tabletop to a freestanding cantilevered unit.
Manifold Depositors
Pressurized by a continuous mixer/aerator or pump system, manifold depositors are used for primarily for continuous application of viscous materials such as cake batter on an oven band, or for application of icings or fillings. This style of depositor can also be run in an intermittent mode providing enhanced flexibility to the baker. This style of depositor allows for very wide deposits, but can also be set up to provide any number of strips of product along the width of the manifold.
Pneumatically-controlled rotary shut-off valve is made of food-grade materials for clean, drip-less deposits.
Handles batters, icings, marshmallow and jellies.
Product distribution is balanced along the manifold width with stainless steel balancing screws.
Brownie / Icing Depositors
The Fedco Brownie Depositor / Extruder is a unique design targeted to depositing needs of very viscous materials where an edge to edge deposit is required. The depositing head is gravity-fed by a live hopper and material is drawn down through the head by a set of pressure rollers.
